As Makmende is a seasoned impact storytelling agency, we were asked to direct this event on quite short notice. During this production period, film crews worldwide were struggling with the COVID-19 restrictions.
The Makmende team used its expertise in creating impactful UGC (user generated content) through ‘The Hive’ to collect the necessary content from the 21 finalists & different investors. From the start the aim was to create an online experience in the most lively & engaging way possible.
The impact of the SUN Pitch Competition was impressive with 500 SME’s who applied from 24 countries & 12 million US dollars total investment deals sought by finalists. The video received over 1000 views during the first 24 hours of the broadcast with 50% businesses or investors & 24% foundations or NGOs watching.
